We use the ThermoClear device which delivers both high and low Radio Frequency technology to treat benign growths. This approach makes ThermoClear safe for use on all skin types and ALL skin tones. Another advantage to ThermoClear is that it ONLY treats the top layer of the skin (epidermis), leaving the lower layer (dermis) unaffected. Machines that use pulsed light (IPL/Laser) usually penetrate both the epidermal and dermal layers of this skin which can cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, temporary skin damage, or even permanent damage.

ThermoClear is highly effective at treating skin tags, moles, fibromas, spider capillaries, telangiectasia, keratosis, sebaceous hyperplasia, cherry angiomas, sun spots, age spots, milia, broken capillaries, flat hyperpigmentation spots, cystic acne, blemishes, blackheads, and cholesterol deposits.
Both high and low frequency energy (heat) is used based on your specific skin irregularity. This energy is current is directly channeled into, on top of, or around the skin imperfection using a fine, sterile, stainless steel probe. The current facilitates electrodessication (the drying of tissue by a high-frequency electric current applied with a needle-shaped electrode).
We apply a medical grade numbing cream prior to your procedure. This greatly minimizes discomfort. Most clients rate their discomfort between 1 and 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. Any sensation quickly dissipates once the probe is lifted.
Your skin should be in as healthy a state as possible. Treatments cannot be performed on skin that is sun- or windburned. In addition, treatments can only be performed two weeks after receiving chemical peels, or microdermabrasion. For dermal fillers, Botox, or other neuromodulators you must wait 72 hours after receiving these treatments before you can receive a treatment with ThermoClear. There should be no other irritation or infections at the treatment site.
Treatment of cherry angiomas, broken capillaries, and spider capillaries can often disappear immediately. Hyperpigmented areas like age spots/sunspots/liver spots can take seconds. Larger irregularities can have healing times with results visible from four or five days up to four weeks.
Directly following your ThermoClear treatment you may experience irritation, redness, and light scabbing on the treated area. After a period of 24 hours you may use makeup as your skin heals.
Most skin irregularities can be treated in just one session but occasionally two sessions may be required to completely remove a lesion.

Upon booking your appointment, you will be prompted to complete our comprehensive intake form. We will use this form to make sure that a ThermoClear skin imperfection treatment is appropriate for your skin’s current conditions.

After you arrive your treatment area will be cleansed and prepped with a medical grade topical numbing cream.

A sterile, stainless steel probe will be used to deliver radio frequency current to the treatment area. This process can take seconds up to a few minutes for each imperfection to be treated.

Immediately following the ThermoClear treatment we will apply soothing topical agents to nourish and protect the area.

At the end of your appointment, we will advise you of post-care instructions.
